Trash rack is a frame-type structure located in front of the inlet/intake for the purpose of intercepting debris, such as water plants and driftwood. Consisting of frame, diaphragm and grid bar, it is supported on a concrete pier wall, generally made of steel. The spacing of the grid bar depends on the size, amount and application requirements of float trashes.
